APFELSUITE
for soundtrack collaboration with Michael Blank composed in 2001 duration: 10' This piece was composed between October 14-23 with the musician and composer Michael Blank in Berlin. Michael and I worked together as teenagers in a band. After the band split up, Michael kept working in the fields of popular music while I started to concentrate on experimental forms of music and contemporary music in the experimental field. Having never lost touch with each other as friends, we never again worked together musically. When I visited Michael in Berlin in summer 2001 we had the idea to change that and to lock ourselves up in the studio for 10 days and see what would come out as a result. The "Apfelsuite" was the result. Except for the use of a freely spoken text by Michael about Tirolian apples, only the sounds of guitars and a no-input mixer were used. Back to Audiovisual Works
